Hi, I'm Grant in Ontario, Canada. Just purchased my first (and used) Festool, a TS 55 EQ. I'm a hobbyist for about 20 years and been in the business for about 5. I'm an avid tool collector with many of my tools under protective coating of dust, blood, tears and broken hopes. I'm originally from England, moving to Canada at the age of 10 so was raised in both Imperial and Metric measurement though which means although I understand the decimal system I will be pulling my hair out setting my saw to the correct depth of cut and will probably end up eyeballing it. I suppose I should add that since I lost the tip of my right middle finger in an industrial accident I am also able to visually tell somebody to "go away" either in imperial or metric.

Let's see, after a particularly long winter I will finally start clearing out my garage to build my ultimate workshop. It will be a 10'x20' workspace so everything will be on castors to be able to adapt. The first thing I will have to do is to build a deck as the floor slopes 8" over the 20' length! This will have the added benefit of precluding my wife from deciding to park her car in there during the winter (that is until she figures out how to put her SUV into 4WD). I very interested in hearing what others have done to maximize space in their small workshops.

My online moniker of CCGA**** indicates that I am a member of the Canadian coast guard auxiliary. It is a call sign I've used in other forums, so I've ended up being called CCGA, CC, and various other things unfit for printing but please do call me Grant.

  [welcome]

I have a small shop as well.  I am just about to begin my overhaul, and mobility is good, but so is being organized with lots of storage.

Welcome to the FOG!
The weather is finally getting good around here so you should have some time to set shop.
Longest, coldest winter in at least 20 years here.
