I do quite a few installs in houses for a particular builder. And every once in a while something comes along in his houses that he doesn't trust anyone else to do. I guess that's where I come in.
This particular newel post was salvaged from the homeowners fathers house. The house was damaged during hurricane Hugo (Google it, it was massive. And South Carolina got hammered)
So they provided some cherry and maybe I went a little overboard. I mean, a couple of nails and some glue would suffice. But, in 50-100 years when they go to rip this thing out, I want them to struggle.
Anyway...
Oh yeah, had some serious scribing to brick in the kitchen, but not sure if it's worth posting. Don't want to bore you guys.
