Notifications don't seem to work anymore... [UnFixed]

Will not get any notifications for new posts in topics I have signed up for or posted myself.....

Help me out here.  Seth and I have both received some additional permissions (but not all) in the forum software since Shane left (we could have had them all along but I argued against them six years ago.)

How have you been notified of new posts in the past?  PM, email?

Just asking because I need to do some research just in case I can help.

For what it's worth I've gotten notifications as recently as earlier today.

Hi Peter,

PMs in the past were alerted by email. I received a PM two days ago with no email notification. Do not know if mentions were ever meant to activate an email, but certainly have not for me.

Keep up the great work. You and Seth have had a few challenges of late, but I am sure things will settle down to the normal ebe and flow soon. Major changes always rattle things for a while.  [smile]

Right now I get zero notification emails. I suspect that there was maybe a reset of user settings when the system was restored?

I checked that this morning. NOPE!  Might I suggest that you try to go into your profile, turn off notifications then log off.  Then log back in, turn them on and see what happens.  Just a thought.

Of course that might cause you to lose your list of threads you want to be notified of.....

I reset last week, and still no notifications.  Not sure why, and the same thing has happened on MY forum. Wierd.

Something has changed, just don't know what.
