I like your interpretation of the design she gave you. The curved legs are beautiful!
Those doors on your work  bench aren't too shabby either. Are those maple?

Looks amazing. Did you hand cut those half blinds?how are the legs attached to the desk.I love it just my style.

Yeah the pins are hand cut with the LN Dovetail saw. The legs are attached at their tops with two 6 x 40 dominos (28 into leg, 12 into case) and a 1 1/2" pocket hole screw just below half way to allow for movement. Thank you Festool C12 angled chuck! [big grin]

You wasnt lying your band saw is still der! lol

Well its a nice piece! One day one day ill be a bench joiner! Working my towards it! I think the knobs are fine I dont like all wood I like if you have something different anything but wooden knobs [tongue]

Guy, dat is da bomb!  BU T full piece.  Nothing like dose Lie-Nielsen saws eh?  I'm kinda gettin used to JMBSPEAK  [big grin].  The only thing I would change if I were making it for myself would be the color of the knobs.  Thanks for posting your piece!

Beautiful desk Guy and lovely dovetail draws. Are the draws full depth of worktop,if they are don't you find with all draws open the table wants to topple?
That's a fantastic looking work space, can you put some more pics of shop for us peeps.

I like this a lot. Design and skill top notch. If you don't mind, a little more explanation or pictures on joining the legs for us newbies would be much appreciated. I think I understand, but am not sure.

Hi Deke

The legs are joined by means of a cross halving joint like in the attachment below. The joint was cut slightly undersize and then pared slowly with a chisel to accomodate the curve of the legs.

i was curious about the lemon oil inside the drawers...  i will have to check that out,  is it something you buy at the woodworking store or what? cuz i have seen furniture polish with lemon oil in it... is that the same stuff or is it pure lemon oil,

Thanks form the comments, it is lemongrass oil I use, it imparts a nice low odour when the drawers are opened and closed. Easy to wipe on or apply with brush.

This is such a great desk I have shown the image to many people and they all....just get quite then comment on how wonderful the desk is. When I ask what is it that makes it special they all say... the same thing... the legs of the desk move them.
