Hey Guys.

Spotted this on eBay UK:-

Claims to be a CTL 33 LE SG that can be used as a compressor to power air tools - you can see the brass airline takeoff above the front latch. Anyone know if this was ever a standard Festool item, or something that's been lashed together by an enthusiast. Just curious.

Full eBay listing here

Cheers, Pete.

I believe the latter would be more likely. They are meant to pass through air from a compressor though, but not actually producing the compressed air themselves.

The document you linked to, is the manual... and has an English section. (page 12-15)

That's actually pretty cool. It's an auto-on set-up for the air tools.

Thanks for digging up the info guys. Looks like it's a Festool original, which makes it a bit more interesting!

I might kep an eye on this after all..;)

Cheers, Pete

Don't they sell that here in the US?  They have air sanders and that is made to use with them and still auto on/off.  Some of the competition (Fein?) have them also.  You guys need to get more catalogs that have auto body tools in them.  ::)

Forgive me if I'm butting in with a load of rubbish.  I may be totally wrong but my understanding was that the Festool vacs with compressed air attachments simply had an in and out port added so that the vacuum could be used with a compressed air sander.  The sander is powered by a special hose, but you still need a separate air compressor to provide the air.
