Made this duplicator for matching rail and stile scroll work on some cabinets customers wanted to add. Used a trim router for scroll work, using 1400 for matching slumped wine bottle trays from wormy pecan. Works great, one handed operation once the counterweights are on.

Very interesting!

I would have thought the end supported rod would be too small in diameter for that span.
How much does it deflect when the counterweights are added?

Rod doesn't deflect, the flat aluminum plate bows a little with the weight of the 1400. Doesn't affect movement, very smooth.

What is the function of the bracket in the last photo?
It spans over the hinge from the flat plate to the router base.
