OF 1400 Table Widener With Edge Guide

I recently picked up a table widener base for the OF 1400, and discovered that the stock edge guide doesn’t clear the taller base height. Are there any techniques or modifications out there that allow the edge guide to work without forcing a base change whenever I want to use it?
