OF1010 replace bearings?

My OF1010 router is making some suspicious noises:
- a bit of a shake and little growl when starting up
- a rattly sounding bearing when slowing down on switching off
- just possibly a little bit of fluctuation in the running speed
- it otherwise runs fine, so hopefully is ok for a bit 🤞

I am suspecting the bearings may need replacing, but wonder whether the brushes may be worn also.

Does anyone have any experience of replacing bearings on a OF1010 and anything to watch out for?

I would rather tackle this myself if possible - the machine is pretty old now (2009) and aside from the expense, I could do without an uncertain wait to get it back from Festool UK repair centre.

Cheers

The growl at startup might be the electronics somewhat stretching the start up. TS55 has the same. It's normal.

The sound on switching off; in the machine, or in the router bit? Bits with bearings make a sound as well.

Fluctuating running speed; brushes might be suspect.

Have not heard before about OF 1010 bearing replacement.
