OF1400 pointer is very loose

How does one make the pointer work with the scales?  My router is brand new, out of the box and the pointer is to loose to adjust.  Just slides and stays in the down position.  Thanks

Check out Rick Christopherson's Supplemental Manuals -- his manual for the OF1400 is third from the bottom of the linked page. Page 10 explains how the depth adjustment works.

I assume that you're talking about the plunge depth pointer and not the entire depth post, right?

If so, you'll need to get it replaced. If you bought it within the last 30 days, take it back to the dealer. Otherwise, give our service team a call at 1-888-337-8600.
