Hi,
Just picked up a new OF2200 to replace my OF1400. I've not had chance to use it yet, just a quick play but I notice that the copying ring has movement! The router will be used for doing worktop joints and needs to be perfect as this is what I've come to expect from Festool. I'm not sure if it's just this particular router that has this problem or all OF2200's. Any of you guys with this router could you tell me if your copying ring has sideway movement. This one has play of about 1mm from left to right!
Also the trigger isn't what I expected. When depressed and the lock pushed in it sometimes locks up and won't release. Scary!!! I had a similar problem with my carvex so using the same solution I've given it a quick spray of WD40 (spoke to the retailer first) which has helped a bit but I'll have to keep an eye on that and send it back for sure if that doesn't get any better next week.
So does your copying ring have movement?
Cheers guys
