Old hose but at 50% still a great deal

Maybe early, but do people have thoughts on this one vs. the new braided hose? Braided hose seems nicer as a hose, but the integrated cord is nice too. Seems odd to not to have something in the middle yet.

Mine had the old end. The new hoses are better of course, but 125 for a cord, a, case and a hose? It's a no brainer for me if nothing more than backups. I personally dont like the fabric cover for the hose in this kit, I may not even use it.

One thing to bear in mind, it's a 22mm hose at the tool end, so it's ideally suited for sanders and less so for saws, routers, planers.  The domino XL might be questionable (I don't really know).  It's certainly a good price, but if you're looking for airflow, the newer hose (500677 - $130) is smoother on the inside and 27mm all the way through at the tool end and 32mm at the vac side.

Thanks; ordered one!

I’ve had my sleeved hose since it was released.  I would rather have a sleeved hose with the cord in the fabric vs the new hose when hooked to a tool.  With the older type of sleeved hose having the hose and cord in one is awesome.  I actually just bought two more. I’ve had no issues using it with my Domino 700 or MT55 or TS75. Only issue I have is when using it with the 1400 router,  it works awesome with everything else.  Plus I prefer this hose bc it still has the older style hose end which I prefer.  The new hose ends are garbage.

I suspect that older hoses may be discounted in the future.  I have seen discounting happen in the past for older models but learned from dealers that they can't discount until the program is announced to them or they are given approval.

[member=65555]MGDS[/member] - yes, it comes with a Sys 3, at least that’s what the receipt says.

I use it for my XL700, TS 55 and RO 150 - the new 'bigger' hose might be better, but for me it's good enough.

Should it be available here (other side of the pond) for that price I would get another one without much further thought.

Was logging into Beaver Tools to check the status of another order and saw this deal on the Festool sleeved hose.  Figured I'd pass it along to the FOG brethren:

Sleeved Hose

Hi [member=60388]Ster1154[/member] , yes [member=3373]Dovetail65[/member] posted that last week.  I ordered one and it arrived today.  Unfortunately, it won't fit my Ultra Dust Deputy due to a pair of mondo ridges inside of the collar at the vac-end. I'm now wondering if that's what most folks have been posting about regarding that hose.

Does anyone know what replacement collar is needed to fix that?  Seems like a real pain.

Ah crud - sorry to jam up the FOG.

[member=42263]c_dwyer[/member] I ended up getting a Festool blast gate and it connects the hose to the dust deputy.  Kind of a pain and I'd love to know if there's a better fix.

I bought two of the sleeved hoses and they came exactly as pictured with a 16ga Plug-It cord in a T-Lok Sys-3.

Beaver Tools (Festools-Online) shipped them out super fast via Fed-Ex.

I had a minor problem with the shipper and the seller was quick to make amends.  Wasn't their fault but they took care of the problem.  Very impressed.

I'm currently trying to convince myself I need another one of these!

Just a tip on the sleeved hose with plugit.  I've had one since they first came out.  I replaced the vac end with another tool end as it can plug it into my 36mm hose tool end.  This gives me a very long vac hose with minimal pressure drop.  I use a short 12 ga extension cord to extend the plugit.  Works great for me.  I'm trying desperately not to buy the new covered 7m 36mm hose but probably will lose the argument to the voices in my head.

Just to be clear, (seeing as how I already ordered one!) Can I remove the fittings on these hoses and replace with ones I already own? I managed to buy a couple of the old fittings before they disappeared. Also saw on the same site a T-18-3+, and was wondering about battery compatibility with my existing drills. I know thats been covered elsewhere but Im still a bit in the weeds about it. Would love to get the drill at that price but want to get a blue tooth battery soon....
