Hi all!

So I've sanded and refinishing an appartement hardwood floor. I've sanded 24-36-60-120. started with 24 cause the old finish was very very hard top removed. ( something like crystal/diamond, etc. ) Yesterday, at 3-4pm, I applied a coat of Osmo Poly with their 4mm roller. This morning, at around 8 am ( so 16hr later), it was still patchy and not uniform.

my guess is that im putting too much product when rolling ?

Will the second coat will ''hide'' those imperfection ?

Should I buff the floor using a white pad to remove the excess and then apply the second coat ? or as per osmo recommandation, sanding with P180-240 before my second coat ? (source: )

The matte parts look like they absorbed it deeply in (or didn't get enough). Second pass will glide past the sealed parts and fill in the rest. Make sure not to leave puddles or any build after the 20mins.

That’s the second coat

I’ve used polyx on my speaker 2 years ago, and they came out absolutely flawless. But a floor that you don’t get to removed excess it’s a bit more tricky.
