Parts department counter for a car dealership

This was a quick one-day job, for me, that will probably take two weeks to actually get finished.
The countertop itself has to be sent out to get clad in 18 ga stainless steel. That part is the slow-down.
You can see the core for that top, in one of the pics, but I had to take it out to get it delivered to the metal shop. I made a temporary spacer to keep going without it. The ends are not finished because it goes into an opening in a wall, so it is trapped between, becoming part of the wall.

Looks great, the top appears to be quite thick and will be very strong and durable with 18ga stainless veneer.  Good for when Bubba drops a camshaft or set of heads on it.
 
Yes, it is 2 inches thick, quite a bit more than the usual 1 1/2" or 1 1/4", which are far more common.
The stainless steel cladding is fairly common in the automotive and food service industries, one for durability, the other for sanitary/cleaning purposes.
