Spent the last month building this patio table out of Cumaru decking for our refinished deck. Planed boards down to 7/8 and straightened boards. Cut my own 8mm dominoes from cumaru and added the ends. Sanded from 40 grit to 220 then 2 coats of teak old for the finish. Made the legs from 4" x 3/8 flat bar, bent then powder coated. Added the steel ribs under neath to keep boards from sagging and 2 long supports just in case. Table weighs about 200lb. pictures a little long.

Very, very nice! An incredibly elegant design.

Which brand of teak oil did you use?

Nice one! I also appreciate your hack for connecting the Revo clamps. I may steal that.

Very nice table. In that last picture it appears that there is a 'kids' table behind the main /new table,  with Festool Systainers as the base for the lower table... [smile]

Thanks for the replies, dominoes took about an hour to make 50 or so. In the last picture had to make a temporary table out of bamboo top and systainers for grandson and his buddy. Teak oil was Minwax. Took a little work to for curves in steel, used a hydraulic press with a wedge on it. Then pressed every 3/4 inch to create curve. Then used grinding round stone on angle grinder to smooth out. Final step was electric die grinder with flapper wheels and my old faithful ETC 125 fitted with different grits of metal sandpaper (no holes) to clean up

Very nice table.

Did you use some sort of beading bit to add the flutes/glue lines to your home made dominos?

No beading bits needed just ran them over my table saw with and offset tooth melamine blade, cuts 2 grooves at once and rounded over edges on router table.

Beautiful table, and also may steel the clamp extending idea! What did you use to ensure the spacing between the boards?

Again, GREAT work!

Used 4mm dominoes as spacers while building, then attached ends with 8mm dominoes. The steel legs and plates keep the gap from underneath.

Very nice.  I could use a narrower table for our narrow back porch....
