Plug in cords

I have several tools and have been using my sanders, Domino, TS55, OF 1010, and EH 65 planer all with the same plug in cord that is attached to my ct 22. Seems like I read somewhere on one of the threads that the sanders should use their own power cords. My question is are all the plug in cords interchangeable? If so, how can I tell them apart so the correct cord is used with the correct tool?
