Plywood Photo Display

Hello everyone,
I need to hang a 4"x8"X8' piece of plywood on a wall that will display 8"x10" photos in frames. I'm going to build the frames, nothing fancy and they will slide in a track from left to right on the plywood so that the photos can be changed and without all kinds of holes in the wall from all the frames. This display will be in a firehouse so that the photos can be changed and updates.
I'm looking for ideas on what type of trim to use on the plywood so that the end grain is not visisble and makes it look good, just some stock trim will do.
Any sugguestions will be greatly appreciated!

Is the ply going to be varnished bright or painted.  Assuming you're using birch ply,and varnishing it, a nice maple surround, like a picture frame, mitered corners, would look great.  If it is going to be painted, then a poplar frame, same idea would be interesting, you could paint it a contrasting color.

Domino the miters and the frame to the ply you should be good to go

You can space the parts so the frame can be lifted and dropped in the lower track with the top track still retaining the frame. That way no sliding.

If you finish the pieces well you should be able to disguise the end grain.
