Hi Guys,
One of my regular clients came to me with a bit of a problem a few weeks ago. He'd taken on a job to re clad a staircase in marble tiles which were an irregular shape and thickness. He'd laid a section and ground it flat using a Protool RGP 130 Reno grinder with grey diamond head but was a bit unsure how to polish them, inside a house using only dry methods.
He bought me some samples and I tried some of the new Festool Granat paper in conjunction with a Rotex sander and was very quickly astounded by the results.
Beginning at 40g and finishing at 400g the Granat easily cut back the stone and by finishing with 1200 g Titan I was able to bring the marble back to a mirror finish.

Your comments on this technique would be appreciated.
Cheers
