I am in the process of making some furniture and for looks it requires a high gloss finish ( at least that what my wife says :)

Unfortunately, I do not yet own any of the RO sanders, so has anyone tried to use Sheepskin on a ETS 150 sander? I have read that for polishing it's better to use rotary mode instead of random orbit, is it true? Any input will be appreciated.

Thank you!

I have used an ETS sander with Platin pads to rub out a satin finish on and oil varnish blend. However, to get to a gloss finish on varnish I have had used a Rotex with felt pads and abrasives. I don't think that the ETS will be able to make any headway using sheepskin (do you mean lamb's wool?).

Yes, that is exactly what I mean - to use Sheepskin D6 (484131) on top of a  Interface Pad For Superfine Abrasive (496647).
I suppose it has to be done on the lowest speed settings otherwise it will be hard to control in random orbit mode... But these are ideas only, so I ask if anyone has tried it and to what results it lead.
