Poll: Would you like getting SMS (text) messages about your order?

Hello, fellow FOG members. I wanted to poll the members to gauge your interest in getting SMS text messages on your cell phone when you place an order and when your order ships. Please vote in the poll at the beginning of the thread. Any additional feedback is also welcome.

I picked 'Yes, in addition to email'.
Sometimes I'll place orders and use Paypal which automatically notifies an email that I don't sync with my phone.
It's nice when those have the SMS option as well.
Also, I don't always check my email often so it's nice to have text alerts as an option as well.

Definitely suggest it be optional though.

Email only. It is just a purchase.

Too many unwanted text messages are received these days already from the phone carrier, spammers, and whatnot. The do-not-call registry list is pretty useless.

Absolutely not.  If a text message means that I can do something (useful) with that information immediately, I will allow a company to text me.  Otherwise, it's a nuisance.  A good use case is the airline letting me know my flight is cancelled.

I'm ok with it. I've shopped with vendors that use Shopify as their shopping cart, and they give the option. Never been a bother to me.

I would prefer texts only for specifics about my order, like shipping notification, but still prefer order confirmation and receipt via email.
