Poor man's Domino (with imagination!) and LR32 system

I would love to buy a Domino but simply don't have the funds but I came across this from Wolcraft the other day. It's a cheap dowelling jig that looks fairly handy and it doubles up as a jig for drilling 32mm shelf holes. Has anybody seen something similar that I might consider before I buy this setup? I can't exactly go far wrong for 40 quid anyway.

Nope for £40 or so I don't think you can beat that. There are a few other shelf drilling jigs out there, I think Axminster used to sell one but can only see the Veritas Shelf drilling jig for sale, which as lovely and durable as it is, is well over £100.

Trend had a shelf drilling jig but that is over £40.

This is your best bang for buck, with a power drill and some dowels you can get started. Triton make a duo dowel jointer ranging from £130-£180 if you wanted it all in a power tool. Mafell make a version too but that is over £350 I think.

Just some ideas for you. There are some differences in the strength you can expect though from different jointing methods (e.g. biscuit, dowel, domino etc).
