Hello everyone!
Just a reminder that we are accepting pre-orders online for the new Festool tools and accessories.
We tested the new Bluetooth module for CT 26, 36, and 48 dust extractors with Bluetooth batteries to auto-start your CT. Pairing is quick and intuitive, and it provides all the convenience of cordless without the downsides! The remote control that fits on the hose is very nice for clean-up too.
If you haven't got your hands on the new hoses yet, they are NICE! Very flexible, and we like how they connect together to make a longer hose without any extra pieces! Fast and secure. Smooth outside surface, and tapered diameter too for improved handling and performance.
Granat Net mesh abrasives for 5", 6", Planex, RTS and DTS sanders. It's about time... we love mesh abrasives here for their fast sanding action and excellent dust extraction (it's really nice not to have to line up holes, too). Make sure you use a protection pad (not required for the Planex)
New Multi-Jetstream 2 sanding pads and Granat, Rubin 2 abrasives for 6"/150 mm sanders for improved dust extraction right up to the edge.
Honestly, we don't know much about mixers, but this one has good balance, intuitive controls with the speed limit dial and variable speed trigger, and the height is easy to adjust. It stands well on its own and runs nicely. The power head fits in a SYS 5, and the paddles fit in a SYS Maxi, or can likely be strapped across the SYS 5 with Tanos' L Support Brackets for long accessories.
We're glad to see Connectors for the Domino 500. We haven't had a chance to try installing them yet, but they seem versatile and strong. The drilling jig and bit with depth stop takes the guesswork out of drilling the cross holes, and saves a few critical marking/measuring steps. Still waiting for some birch-coloured cover caps, though. To use the connectors, you'll need an 8 mm bit for your Domino Df 500.
Finally a Festool diamond blade for fibre cement. If I had a nickel for every time somebody asked for one of these... For the TS 55 REQ and TSC 55 REB only.
