Very nice to see the TI 15 is being sold in a set and Basic (no chucks or batteries). But why the Systainer 1 with the set and Systainer 3 with the basic??

Shane posted pics of the Sys3 for the basic impact.  It has room for all the accessories and a second drill.

The SYS 1 is for just the TI 15 similar to the other drills.

The Basic comes in a SYS 3 that has accommodation for your existing Festool drill set plus the TI 15.

EDIT:
Someone beat me to it...

Thanks Brice and Tom.

To bad,  I would still like the basic TI 15 in a Systainer 1, like all the other drills.

Oh good. I've been thinking about a router table. Glad Festool is finally sending this over here.

Need to research this now.

The basic Ti15 Sys3 package plus a T15 set is an awesome way to go ... wish I had done it.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but here goes.....does it make sense to own a standard Festool T15 drill any longer?  Or are there benefits inherent in the T15 still in comparison to the Hybrid coming out in October?

I wish this was out sooner.  I've got two sheds and a deck to build in my backyard before winter kicks in, and would love to get one sooner than Oct.  Wonder if Shane is looking for any Beta/Pre-Release testers?  [big grin]

Oh boy, I hope JMB doesn't see this post. [big grin] Check out this tread where JMB gives some his thoughts on the TI15.  Festool impact drill.

T15 + Ti15 is a nice combo. the Ti15 is foremost an impact driver and can do a reasonable job of drilling - but does not match the T15 in overall drilling performance. By getting the basic kit you get the best of both and save on components).

It makes a lot of sense to have a T15, because the Ti15 isn't quite what you'd hope/want/expect it to be. In fact, the thing is a disappointment, in my humble opinion. For myself, if I needed a new impact driver, I'd go for another brand and get a real one instead of Festool's whatcha-ma-call-it...

I did see the post  [tongue] but I have said my peace if people want to buy it, its up to them you have your 30day money back so give it a try im sure people will b using that service.

Just some advice if people really really want the Ti15 I recommend only to buy the drill bare if you already own a T15 if not then still buy the Ti15 bare and buy a T15 awell lol  because as an impact it's okay anything else.... you know my thoughts on that.

I personally wouldn't buy it at all not worth it. I'm waiting for the newer festool impact which should be coming end of the year most likely.

JMB, not sure where you're getting your info, but there's no new impact in the works.

We will see

That made me chuckle my moneys on Jmb [big grin]

I take that as an implication that a high number of Festool TI 15 returns will force an engineering catch-up with a redesigned tool?

I just pre-ordered MY CMS-GE, with a few other items. Shows a delivery date of 2012-09-07. WhoooooooooHooooooooooo. It will be here next week!!!!!
