Preorders now available for the TS 55 and Storage Items

Bob,
I have a question, not about the saw, but:
What do all of those hiroglyphics mean on your web site?

Hi Wayne,

Help me out here - not sure what you mean?

Bob

Sounds to me like he's missing the requisite font on your website?  ???

It's not a problem; it's a feature.  It's the GM sales principle...

[poke]  [bite tongue]

Bob,
Stuff like this

P  E-    DE      !! A  A5  a          a        55  g    May 1, 2013

This shows @ above info for the TS55R

All over your site, this is the info I get on any tool
I am sure all of the seemingly unrelated letters & #'s have some sort of meaning
I just don't have the code key anywhere to decipher [sad]

Hey Wayne,

I don't get that at all on my computer.
Clear as a bell.

Bob, I can not even get a price on any toy.
This has been going on for many moons.

Could it be that I have a MAC?
I have an old laptop that I get the same thing on.

Maybe instead of eating apples, I should be getting struedle.

I'm on a A few computers and don't have this issue.

Bob

Bob,
I just checked with the Festool site.  It doesn't happen there.
Only on your site.
Maybe Festool doesn't like Italians [ban]
Especially Italians with a NuYawk NJoisy accent. ::)

I tried copying the "code" onto a Word document and the info needed shows.
I just need to figure out the letters that are missing.
Of course, since non of the prices show, I will just check out how much the books will go for.
That's all i wood need to know anyhow.  ;D

No issues here either Bob.  Wayne, is your MAC have all recent updates?  I'm no expert on HTML or MAC.  I've seen this before on the PC.  If you don't have the font that the website uses installed on your computer, it will make substitutions and sometimes these subs look like symbols.  Sorry I don't have an solution.  Hopefully someone who knows will jump in here.

Wow, this is the first I'm hearing about this issue. So it's bad that it happens but good that I know about it so I can see what the heck is going on here.

Not to worry.
I had not meant to get into this as i was not really concerned about it.
One friend calls himself a "geekster'
I am a "gookster" when it comes to computers.
I'm not going to start messing with it.
That wood probable get me into a real problem.

Just FYI Bob, I look at your site almost daily while deciding what to buy next - no issues or codes, missing letters etc on 2 different PC / IE computers.
Jeff

Tinker,

A
I just checked on my Mac and all is good.  If you have been looking at the same pages repeatedly, try this:

In safari, go to the top left and click on |Safari | then  |Empty Cache...|

Peter

Peter,
What does that do?
I'm not sure i dare try that.
The last time I tried sorting out a problem that meant an adjustment of some sort (sounded like that same type solution)
I ended up with an hour long phone call to India (where upon the problem was made worse)
and then packing my computer in car and a thirty minute (each way) trip to my Guru.
I am not really concerned about this problem.
I still search on Bob's site and when i am ready to purchase a book with free toy,
I plan to get back to him.
I have three people I get my Festoys from.  He is next in line.

BTW:  With computers, cell phones Etc, communications, one needs to understand,
i grew up when communication was carried on with smoke signals.
I know how to make a smoky fire.
these gadgets with buttons that make letters, pictures and strange noises just confuse the h--- out of me.
:o
