Product Recall SYS Powerhub 200234 UK

Hi All

Heads up but it appears that the above is being recalled.
I have one and dealer forwarded email from Festool UK

Email stated..
"We need to recall Sys Power Hub 200234 you have ordered.
Please could you provide the address of your end users that these have been sold to so I can get this collected asap."

No further details as yet but I expect a call tomorrow to arrange uplift.  :-\

Hi!

I saw a post earlier today but it seems the posting is gone now. I immediately e-mailed Festool to hear if it's just the GB/UK variant or if the SYS-PH sold in Germany is also affected. Since I have mine since Saturday I haven't really used it yet and will hold off until it's clear what is wrong and which models are ultimately affected.

Information by TTS Tooltechnic Systems (GB) Limited regarding “SYSTAINER PowerHub 240V”

As part of our regular product monitoring, we have identified a small part used in the SYS-PowerHub GB 240V module which may not fully meet Festool’s quality standards and therefore may affect the splash water guard (IP 44).

This is not a safety related recall.

Customers who have purchased a SYS PowerHub GB 240 V (Part No 200234) are kindly requested to contact the place of purchase for a full refund.

After doing so we will contact you with the details of return. Our network of dealers have been notified of this issue and will assist you directly to obtain a refund. If you should have any problems with your return please contact us via info@festool.co.uk.

Please note: This only affects the UK version of the SYS-PH GB 240V (part no. 200234) - no other products are affected.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to assure our customers that no other products are affected. We expect that we will have a new production lot for UK available at your dealer as of July.
