I recently picked up the Compact Cleaning Set.  When using the bristled pickup attachment, does the continuous bristle side go towards the front or back of the nozzle?

Never saw any bristles that have this configuration and I'm wondering what makes sense depending on whether you're pushing or pulling while vacuuming.  [blink]

The image on the Festool USA web page for the Interchangeable Floor Nozzle - 452906 (part of the Compact Cleaning Set) shows the brush installed as you have it.  Interchangeable Floor Nozzle - 452906  I assume it is designed to let dirt through the front brush when vacuuming in a forward motion.  I think if you wanted to get crazy, you could reverse it and vacuum with a pulling motion.  [eek]

The correct position would depend on your height. When you are vacuuming you will find that the brush rides mostly on either the front or rear bristles. I prefer to have that bristle be the continuous one.

I would say using it as it is in the photo is correct.  Otherwise you end up just pushing a big pile of stuff.  The gaps allow the debris to make it past the bristles.  The solid strip in the back prevents the waste from escaping.
