I'm not sure where to put this.  For those that aren't yet aware, the Felders Owners Group is in the process of moving to groups.io.  The back story is yahoo is discontinuing support for yahoo groups in December, which forced the move.  Over the weekend they completed migration of the user accounts, posts and other files to groups.io.  Set up of the new groups is ongoing it appears (I haven't logged in yet).

Sunday night you should have received an email confirming your account was created in groups.io.  The email would have come from felderownersgroup+owner@groups.io.  If you don't see the email, check your spam folders.

Otherwise, visit groups.io and click the Log In button on the top right.  On the screen that follows, choose "Email me a link to log in".  That should get you started to set up a password for your account and you should already have access to the Felder Owners Group.

And for those that belong to the Minimax group, no word on what they are or will be doing (yet), however, I suspect they will follow in the footsteps of the FOG in time.

The Inca woodworkers group also just moved over last night to Groups.io.  Inca was a Swiss made woodworking machine line from the early 80's that is now run out of France I think.  Great machines with a strong following.

Groups.io has made it really easy to migrate an entire forum and contents from Yahoo.  And with a much better interface.

I am involved in a sailing group, and we are also moving to groups.io.  Should be a significant improvement from Yahoo.

Though, I will add, probalby not as good as the Festool Owners Group site.  Many thanks to Festool for this!

Anything will be an improvement over yahoo.  I only lurked in the bushes because I was getting a daily summary via email but everything else about it was irritating.  There is an active group of very knowledgeable people on it.  I'm hoping most of them make it over the bridge to groups.io.

As for Minimax, they just confirmed they would also being migrating to groups.io in the coming weeks.
