I have at the moment a Hilti jigsaw (110v) which is great, but i wanted a cordless one to. I used a Mates Makita 18v which i thought was c**p  [big grin] I have ordered the 14v Festool as it was cheaper than the Makita, Bosch etc  but is it any better than them?

Cheers John..

lol poor Neth no comments.

I have used a cordless makita and Dewalt    not a bosch but I do own a bosch corded precision  and the Festool cordless barrel grip is equal or better than them all.

Both my mates own a Dewalt cordless and both prefer getting my cordless carvex out  the little   using my tools

I know, i was starting to get upset, no one likes me  [big grin]
I got it cheap so hopefully its okay, i can't be pestered sending it back.
.I know it won't compare to a mains jigsaw, i just hope its better than the Makita..

John..

You got the D-handle one?  If so yes it feels crap I have said it many of times on fog  Festool have really let them self down on the D-handle carvex first time I saw it was before it was released in the UK and I Was like feels plastic handle feels to small trigger is set back to much needs to be at the front where your hand naturally slides forwards as u push the jigsaw forward.    Any way he then showed me the barrel grip version and felts ALOT nicer and solid  defiantly the better of the two.  Thats y I bought the barrel grip one.

Yes i got the d-handled one, I'm used to them  [big grin] The barrel grip type was also £130 more expensive, so it was a easy decision.... I will give it a try out when i start back working again. I can soon stick it on Ebay and probably get all my money back if i don't like it......
I think i will still keep the Hilti as i don't think a cordless will work for everything, especially with only 1 battery..

John..

Look what else i got, will put all your tools to shame,

Girlfriend taking the p**s

John..

Haahaaa lol thats better than what my girlfriends mum and dad got me!    They got me a chocolate tools which also came with a plastic spanner and bolt and nut with a piece of wood with a hole in it and plastic pliers.    I ate the chocolate screw driver and hammer yum yum
