Hi everyones,
This is a simple bedhead made with exorbitantly priced timber.
All boards were prepared using a Festool TS75 to square them and 6x20 Dominoes to join them. The stiles were planed to square using a Stanley #7 smoother after preliminary planing on a Carbatec planer/thicknesser. The top board is dominoed to the body using 5x30mm dominoes.
The boards were prepared for finishing using a Festool RO150 ROS in orbital mode with grits from 100 to 400. Finishing was done using friction sealing of Scandinavian oil and grits of 400-4000g on an ETS150/3 eccentric sander. Final finish was achieved using UBeaut EEE Ultrashine then Traditional wax.

Regards,

Rob

Rob--

At first I thought it was a mis-typing of Old, but Qld = Queensland, right?

The beauty of simplicity!  Absolutely Gorgeous! Am I seeing a slight concave curve on the top?

Outstanding Wood!

Hi Timmy,
I've just had another look and I think its probably to do with the angle of the photo. It looks pretty straight.
I do like to let the timber speak for itself.

Regards,

Rob

Either way it is gorgeous.  It may be an illusion with the grain and the "lines" of the piece.

LOVE THAT WALLY WOOD!

Sorry, clearly I'm text-oriented when puzzling out an abbreviation seems more important.

The piece is beautiful, and I too love the simplicity.
