Here's some info some of you might find interesting. I contacted a Finnish retailer of Qiangsheng planes because they carried the Luban SS spokeshave and I asked them when it would be back in stock. The Finnish distributor doesn't have it in stock and they're not allowed by Qiangsheng to buy it from a distributor in another country. Basically, Qiangsheng wants full market control. They control the channels, the price, everything. I'm not supporting this kind of behaviour and I regret getting the block plane.

I recently purchased a Lie Nielsen No.102 and couldn't be happier. Fit and finish is second to none in my opinion. I will be replacing three other planes with the Lie Nielsen equivalent.
