Question on dovetail bit for VS600

My dovetail shaped bit I use on the VS600 dovetail template is dull.  I'm wondering - if I get it sharpened, will that change the geometry enough to mess up my dovetails?

Yes it will eventually when the sharpening has taken too much metal from the routerbit
