Question re TCL 3 Charger

Have just got one of these and can't work out what the light's supposed to be telling me [blink].  I've read the manual and it makes no sense to me.  I put two low-charge new batteries in and the light started flashing green and carried on flashing green for ages (longer than the supposed full charge time), no change in the rate of flash.  On both batteries I eventually pulled them out then pushed them back in and the light showed green constant, so I'm assuming they are both fully charged (three green lights on the drill "fuel gauge").

I'm used to chargers which show you when the battery is low charge, high charge and fully charged.  All this one does is flash green.  Is it supposed to go on constant green when fully charged?

Plus, mounting the batteries to charger seems fiddly [tongue]

Thanks Brice.

I think I'll sit staring at it with a large hammer and see if it'll stop flashing for me!

The green light on charger should flash quickly if the battery is really flat then starts to flash slower as the battery gets something like half full then constant when fully charged, the Festool batteries do take longer then some others to charge.

A few people have had problems with seating the battery on the charger and this has caused charging problems. You need to give it a good push down to make sure it is properly in place.

If the problem continues contact Festool.

Thanks Doug

I put a slightly used battery back in today and watched it, it did stop flashing and went constant.  I was sure I'd waited about 90 minutes each yesterday, but maybe I'd misjudged the time, or maybe it was being sure to push the battery home that helped.

Not seating the battery are the way on the charger usually yields the amber colored standby light.
