After seeing the RAS used for scribing, I can see that it would certainly speed the process.  It really takes the material down fast but with a lot of control, and pretty good dust control.

On the coping I noticed you really have to watch the  front or back edge  (depending on the end of the piece you are at) to make sure you don't accidentally touch the point and  remove it.
