Hi all,
I've made this a couple of weeks back to replace some 20 odd years old gate that has simply had it.
Materials used are:
Broken down 10' x 5' redwood pallets (free) from work laminated where needed using exterior grade polyurethane glue
Reused English pattern "Suffolk latch", I have taken off from an old internal door that I have replaced for a customer couple of years back.
Three lever deadlock
Hand cast covered keyhole escutcheons (not in the pictures as they were in the post at the time)
And last but not least, hand forged and finished in bees wax tee hinges.
Oh and finished in two coats of Cuprinol Garden Shades "Olive Garden" exterior paint/stain come preservative.
So here she is.
Took some 3,5 days to make including transportation from the workshop 14 miles away.
