Recommendation for a good all around shoe

I am looking for a good all around shoe... for driving, diy, yard work, and casual. I currently alternate between a pair of Born and Merrell barefoot. The Born is the most comfortable shoe that I use it when I will be standing on concrete all day and I use the Merrell when I need grip on wet pavement or dirt.

The most important factors are:
1. grip
2. comfort
3. weight

Cheers

Awesome.. I have not heard of either of these brands. I am always amazed at the quality of stuff that people suggest on FOG.

The Keen brand might be worth a look, I've been using their Siskiou models for a few years and they have been great for me. Many other styles to try as well. When locating a link for you I found they are running a 50% sale, gonna stock up, thanks :)

EDIT: looks like that style might be on the outs but many more to try.

Now I haven't worn any of their shoes, but I LOVE their utility line of workboots (keen) - the portland 6" is a solid boot and crazy comfortable as well.  In other words, I bet keen shoes are worth a shot as well.

Might want to check these out.  My son is a letter carrier for the Postal Service and he wears these and loves them.  I also work for the USPS and am on my feet all day and I wear a pair.  Very comfortable and long wearing.  This is at Amazon.

I love my Keens!  That's about the only brand of shoes I buy. The wide toe box is perfect for my feet!  Currently I'm wearing the Tacoma soft toe from the industrial line. I've had these boots for over 2 years (and they're starting to smell their age)!  Also, Keen has excellent customer service. I had a pair that the sole had a defect, I sent a pic...next day I had a credit to their website for the value of the shoes and they didn't even want the old pair back.

Highly recommend!
