Is there a way to know if a tool that is for sale on facebook marketplace here locally was purchased new or from recon site? I was told he bought it new in July but considering the difference in warranty length I didn't know if there was way to know prior to purchase.

If u get the Tr/Snr (the 2 numbers needed for registering your tool) they can look up its history
