Resawed top glued up with dominos! This was my first real project with the domino - it was soooooo nice to use.

Here I inlayed the top with white beech. I used my trusty Triton router for this project, but now I have a OF 1400, the Triton lives in the router table.

You can see in that I used the domino to create the mortices to hold the buttons in place. I made a mistaske however and had the grain running the wrong way.

And finally the finished hall table. As I mentioned earlier, this was my first furniture project and I learned a lot during the build.
Thanks for looking !  [smile]

Tasty little project. I like the grain matching on the table top, nice curves. Thanks for sharing.
How do you find the 1400 compares to the triton?

This came out very nice!  I love inlay and like the top and matching bottom.  Well done!

Thanks for the comments.

I take delivery of the OF 1400 in a few weeks so i'll let you know once I start using it. As for the Triton, it's a very good router to put in a router table. You can change bits and adjust the height from above the table and it's very powerful.

I didn't want to keep taking out the Triton everytime I needed to use it for freehand work so I decided to buy the OF 1400 (and a few other festool stuff too!)

Andrew    Fantastic first project, the inlay work really pops and makes the top look great.

Very stylish piece. Thanks for posting pics. What type of work are you doing now?

I used to Live in coogee  [big grin] hope all is well in Oz.

Love the piece and have been thinking about a similar project, may copy if you don't mind.

Couple questions, are the legs square all the way down?  Sme pictures look square, others don't.

How did you cut the hole for the drawer?  Looks very square right into every corner.

Thanks,
Chris
