I have done a bit of digging on the net and I can not seem to find a place to register my Festool items. I know that Bosch and most others now have online product registration forms... Do you need to register?  I am going to go paw through my paperwork in a little while and look for reg. forms.

Your Dealer should do it for you!

If not den go on to Festool web site and you can find it der

LOL... thanks for the extremely fast response... was just coming in here to remove the post *grin*. Called' my ... local'ish Woodcraft and that is what they told me.

JMB is right (well, sort of), your dealer should send in the paper work for your tool(s).  However, the link above isn't for us in North America.  If you are concerned you can call Festool and they will be happy to check and/or register them.

Okay, I see you've got it taken care of but this thread might help someone in the future.

Just my two cents on this matter. First, I get a file from Woodcraft monthly with all Festool tool purchased for registration purposes. Secondly, I will be adding something to the website this year that will allow customers to register their tools as well. I'll make an announcement on the forum and through our email newsletter once that's in place.

For me only a Kapex ever needed anything to do with service and that was way back, I think  they fixed that issue.

I assume the dealer took care of registering all my other Festools, but I will never know. I never needed service during my 3 year period, just like it should be with a nice tool.  :)

And I beat the crap out of my sanders and jig saw, showed them no mercy.

UBER!
The Festool Germany site isn't recognizing USA product numbers anymore.     [sad]
I really liked getting the warranty letter from them, to tuck away with my tools.      (hint hint)

It is most likely that Lee Valley registered them. But it certainly won't hurt for you to do it yourself also. Since the tools have separate serial numbers they would be registered  separately.

I've bought Festool products from two local shops. One says they register products on my behalf and the other says they do not. So, I register them myself to be sure. I also keep descriptions and serial numbers in  two safe places in case of theft.
