I accidently broke the ground prong off of the cord on my CT26. (tripped over the cord)  I went to my dealer, he says it's expensive to have it shipped away and have a new cord installed. He said just get a new plug from the hardware store and put it on.

Ok. So I cut the old plug off, and there are three wires. One white, one green and one black. Which one is the ground? it "looks" like it's the white, as it's closer to the ground prong than the others, but I don't know. Any electrical guys out there that would know this?

My CT is 2 1/2 yrs old, so it's out of warranty. and it's my fault, so I couldn't really claim warranty anyway  [embarassed]

Ground wire is green, white wire is neutral , black wire is hot leg. If we're to look at he plug head on, the left prong would be the hot leg
