This is a project that is part of a large cabinet job. The tv mounts inside the box and the back side ( clear finish) is having a picture painted by an artist that will be mounted on that side so when the client wants the tv hidden it will look like a large painting. I designed, built and installed the woodwork but had my finisher do the stain job, i made the cove molding with my tablesaw and ls130 which is in another thread.

The tv guys were supposed to be there today to install the tv but were a no show and the artist is still working on the painting so the job is not complete yet. I have another client that wanted to see some pictures and a short video so i figured i would put them up here also and update the thread when the tv and art work is in.

great job
that is very james bond.
I can just imagine opening that with a bar on the back and mixing a few drinks.

Thanks guys, the art work will not be done for a couple of weeks. I will update with pictures and a hopefully a better video when i get it installed.

Great workmanship!

Curious ... Why did they want to go to so much effort to hide a TV screen? It's not like it's a feature wall with those switches and vents to the left [huh]

It is a really busy wall, the wall has hand painted stripes now and the wood vent cover i made is painted so it blends in a little.

The client likes cool things and he wanted it so i made it. It is in his bedroom also so it will probably be on the tv side most of the time.

Cool - more pics? [smile] [smile]

As someone who hates seeing a tv when they walk into a room, that is the nicest tv mount I have ever seen. Any chance that you could pits some details regarding its hardware and construction?

They don't sell these retail  correct? If you sell them PM me a price. I want one and have a good idea what they go for.

Thanks
