While I was idle I started to do some searching for lumber suppliers in my area and came across a name. I set it aside for a few months and then rediscovered it. I contacted the owner and made an appointment to come out and check out his place.
If you are looking for exotics this is not the place for you. They carry the 4 most common hardwoods here in multiple thicknesses rough sawn and lesser amounts of those finished two sides. You can pick your own material.
The material is a mix of local and Pennsylvania woods.
Christian, the owner, is really personable and has been a woodworker and contractor for decades - following in his father's footsteps. I did't know this until we talked but my brother (an architect) did their houses plans for years.
The prices for their material is fair or more than fair.
