Hello All,

Looking to purchase my first Festool tool and needed some recommendations.  I am looking to maintain the granite countertops in my home.  There is nothing wrong with the granite, just want to perform a buff/polish when necessary.  I have never performed this so I am looking for any advice you can give me.  Will make the purchase tomorrow before the promo ends.

1.  Is the RO 150 FEQ the correct sander to use?
2.  What are the normal steps to cleaning - polishing granite countertops?
3.  What pad/product recommendation should I use for each step?
4.  What speed setting should I use for each pad/product?

Thanks in advance,
Josh

Josh:

I just saw this post. 'Sorry for the delayed response but I've been and still am swamped...

I had a granite countertop installed recently and the installers were using a buffer with a smooth-faced sponge and compound to polish the cut edges. They claimed that they couldn't emulate the finish on the top but I think that's nonsense.

We have a member, Counterfix, who might have all the answers. I haven't heard from him lately so I don't know what's up.

I am guessing you need the green polishing pad to do this.

Get it before midnight to take advantage of the discount!
