I know Festool canned the idea of an abrasives assortment, but did any dealers ever put something together?  I'd like to get stocked up on some Granat without having to buy 100-sheet packs.  Maybe Festool needs a financing program  [smile]

I haven't made an assortment, but ship the papers in whatever quantities customers request via email to me.

I put together 2 assortments, one with a Systainer and one without.

These assortments are of Rubin and Brilliant2 for the RO 90. The logic was that the tool comes with an assortment of Granat. The goal being to let people figure out what grades and grits they use most without having to buy a lot of any of them. Once they figure out what they use most, they can enhance the collection.

Hi Tom,

I would be interested in a subset of the RO90 assortment for just the DX93.
Is that a possiblility?

Thanks
Dave

Sure, Dave!

If you can send me an email with your request or call me tomorrow, I can make it happen.

Tom

I ordered the RO 90 sander assortment with systainer from Tom Bellamare at Tool Home.  Couldn't be happier.  He is great to do business with and the assortment he put together is letter perfect.

Oh, my gawd!  I've been searching the internet for package deals on small batches of Ro90 abrasives and you have it!!  You have my business sirs!

I got a selection of triangular abrasives from a festool rep at Woodcraft of all grits when I bought the Ro90 out of his own collection.  I only want the Granat selection of circular disks of varying grits.

Tom, it's a really great idea to offer this. Thanks.

Tom:

Is the RO90 assortment available sans Systainer? Or should I just put together a list of the grits I want? Do you have a minimum of anyone grit, like 10 pieces or 12 or ....?

Thanks!

Toms assortments are a great way to get started.  I have ordered the abrasive assortment with systainer for my RO90 and RTS 400

Tom,

You need to talk to your service provider. The only way I can get to your site from Germany is to use a Virtual Private Network that spoofs the net into thinking I'm in New York.  Your ISP is apparently blocking IP's from where I am in Germany.  "Site not found" message when not using a VPN.

Just thought you ought to know, because it may reach beyond Germany.  (I would understand if having probs in Nigeria where I work half the year, but not Europe!)

I'll be ordering both 90mm and 150mm Granat assortments w/systainers when I get back to the USA in May.

Cheers,

Frank

Well, I don't know if it will change anything, or if I fall into the twilight zone... but my current IP is 46.165.183.43
(Didn't even have to look it up. It shows on every post I make here on FOG!! [eek]  Probably as a warning that the mods and admins are watching....just like the NSA!! [big grin])

Cheers,

Frank

Hi. I know US dealers cannot sell tools to Canada, but can they sell assortments of sandpaper for the different sanders? I am not aware of any Canadian dealers that offer this service, nor does my local dealer where I buy my tools from. We have had a few Foggers step up and buy bulk and split things up but they are quite limited, and not always available when the need for paper arises. Are there any dealers in Canada offering this type of service.
Thanks, Greg.

I just ordered a 150mm kit and the dreaded hand sanding kit. I want to try the foam backed paper on the lathe.

Kevin,

Let me know how that works out on the lathe.  I'll be getting mine cranked up soon and would have an interest in how well the hand kit works.

I would just like to say due to this post, I contacted Tom about getting some assortments for various sanders, just not the RO 90.

I have to give credit where credit is due.  Tom has been great to work with.  I selected all the different papers I wanted, he offered some advice on what paper was best for my applications.

As such, I am placing an order with him for a good assortment of paper and not having to buy several 100 packs of paper.

Thanks Tom  ;D ;D ;D
