RO125 Paper/Pad Availability

Hi there,

Are the number of accessories more limited for the RO125 than for the RO150?

I noticed on the FestoolUSA website that there are only 5 packs of the polishing sheepskin 493079 for $58 and no Vlies available at all. Is this correct or are there parts missing from the catalog?

If it's correct, then the RO125 goes back tomorrow and I'll trade up to an RO150. (Note: The 2006 Catalog confirms the bit about the polishing pads, so I think I already know the answer to this.)

I can't really comment on the 125 and because I don't have one and do have an RO150FEQ.  I can say that Vlies IS available for the 150.

You might want to check one of the Festool Dealers to see what they have.

Yes, Festool makes Vlies abrasives for RO-125. I can’t find it on FestoolUSA site. I think this is a case when vendor can advertise it as “Guys, I have it”. Buy it from me. I’m not employee of McFeely’s but IMO their site has best search engine and product info. Or you have another alternative: call to your vendor.

Check with your Festool dealer. You should be able to get a single sheepskin for the RO125 that way, and the Vlies should also be available through them.

Unfortunately, I'm starting to think that I know more about this than the guys at the local store. Try as I might, I can't find a link for a single 5" sheepskin pad anywhere. Since I will never pay $53 for five sheepskin pads, it looks like this puppy's going back.

Also, it' s a little bit of a bummer that the McFeely's add shows a sampler pack of abrasives while the one I bought had a single sheet.

Try checking with local auto body supply houses, especially ones who deal with car detailers.
