Rotex 90 triangular pad

Hay guys, I was using my "90" for the second time a day or so ago, and changed from the round to the triangular sanding head. The transition from one to the other was smooth but after about 5mins of sanding it broke due to a portion of the plastic collar giving way.  Anyone else had this problem? 

I own both the 90 and the 125 and this is the first problem I've had with anything Festool. I need the triangle head. Maybe I'll buy an extra in reserve...OR go  ack to using my Fein???

I suffered the same problem using the extended pad...sorry but is user error caused by the pad not actually being engaged properly.

Me to, but the pad can be rotated and ha get  2 more tries with it.

What part is giving way, where  it is attached to the machine or the thinner portion just beyond.  I use this attachment quite often and not had a problem.  I have not been easy on its use and wonder if you are getting flawed parts or have a flaw in your machines.
