Cannot remove triangle pad

It can be a bit stiff the first few times, but you simply squeeze the button towards the center and twist to the left. The button moves quite a bit, it's not just that you have pressure against it. It might take a little jiggling to get it to move.

Stiff is right, first time I tried to remove the pad I thought I was going to break the pad itself it took so much effort!
