So i think i may have went a bit over board, but I learn so much everyday I want to push my limits and get better. Just in doing this project I learned a whole mess of things that I would do different next time. And I have one more of these to build for my other router table. I could use a few tips on how to get the doors lined up and mounted and the drawer faces. I had a heck of a time trying to get them on the slides level and I got them on but there not perfect. they are push to open slides and hinges so there will be no hardware. I used dominos to put the face frame together and Titebond 3 with dados for the cabinet. the front is Hickory and Paduk with Jatoba dot inlays (I never wanna see another dot) the cabinet is done out of 3/4 Jatoba ply along with 3/4 drawer bottoms. Seeing how I am only self taught and don't know anyone else that makes furniture or woodworks I could use all the suggestions I can get, all I want is to get good enough to make money so I can quit my real job and do something I love, so let me know what you think.

Very nice. You took on a nice design making the doors and drawers inserted for your first time.

I haven't made insert drawers using slides just used wood rails so can't give you first hand suggestions. When building cabinets with overlay drawer fronts, I use spacers resting on the bottom of the cabinet to set slides co planer. Tried several ways but found this to be the one that works best for me.

You probably have adjustment on your cup hinges for the doors.

Personal opinion but I don't see any benefit to the plugs as they distract from the beauty of the wood.

Finished!! finally
Charles, Looks great!  I have been looking into getting the Kreg table/fence system for myself.  I was woundering how you liked the kreg table and if you have your festool router mounted to it, or what kind you are using.  I would say that it wouldn't be long before you can quit your day job and start your career as a woodworker.  Keep up the good work!
Eric

Hey erock,
Thanks for the compliment. I love my kreg table and I used a triton router because it has a built in above table router lift system which saved a lot of money. I like how the fence slides like a table saw fence and the dust control is pretty good, maybe not up to festool standards but still pretty good.

First place at the annual Artistry in Wood show! but there wasnt many entries this year  :'( hopefully next year pics up.

nice table. too good to use. not keen on dowel inlay but thats just me.
can we see the table set up and whats inside

The table should be in your living room not your shop. Looks great and congrads

Sandals in Alaska?!?  Nice setup.  Who says our tools can't be furniture as well.

That's what I have the wool socks for and down jacket, plus it was pretty warm that day only -1 ferinheit.
I agree I would like my own stuff to be some of the nicest things I make that way I can see them everyday. I sold a table onetime that I really loved and ever since I have been thinking about trying to buy it back, but I guess then I wouldn't have money for more wood.
