I have an RTS 400 sander and somehow I can't for the life of me get the battery out.  Pressing on the green tab and pulling like my life depended on it doesn't budge it.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove this thing without destroying the tool?

I thought someone else recently posted about a stuck Ergo battery as well.  I think they ended up taking the shell of the tool apart to get at the catch, but I don't recall what the final solution was; it may be worth a search.

Hi,maybe just loosen bolts 29 and maybe wiggle it out .I wouldn't take them out. good luck guy[attachimg=1]

I'll try the freezer idea before risking screw 29!  Thank you for the ideas and that great diagram!

Well nothing worked so I I figured screw it and jammed the widest head screwdriver I had between the housing and the power adapter.  There was a lovely snap and it came out.  There are these discolored circles on both sides of the power adapter and their corresponding sides inside the housing.  It almost looks like something got hot and melted the 2 parts together.  Both still work fine but it is a tad odd to say the least.

thanks for the help everyone!
