Running Kapex through extractor

Hey all,
I am considering getting a Kapex and would like to run it directly plugged into an extractor. How many of you are doing this? What I don’t understand is that even on a 20amp breaker with the Kapex being 13, that only leaves 7 for the dust collection, which isn’t going to cut it. My Metabo asr35 draws 11 amps and full power. Am I missing something here? I run all my sanders, domino, etc directly through an extractor but those are all drawing much less amps. I have heard about all the older Kapex motors burning up because of this as well. Wondering if you guys can provide any insight. Thanks!

You don't need the auto-switch if your plan is use the Kapex with one of the Festool extractors (CT26, etc.).

That’s true, I know, but that wasn’t even a question.

Another way around this is to get the Festool Bluetooth remote/module.  It’s $80. I run my Kapex and CT36 on separate outlets and the Bluetooth links the duct collection.  Just have the remote by the Kapex and turn the vac on and off as you need it with the remote.
