I cannot believe I am asking this on here, but for $79 I have too.
Home Depot is selling the Ryobi Miter Saw stand for $79.
I have read that it is basically like the DeWalt stand.
I was wondering if anyone has mounted a Kapex on it????????
I saw Chris' post about the DeWalt stand.  And like him, I would being getting a MFT/3 to use with other tools.
I like the light weight and ease of use with the DeWalt and Ryobi.
I can always spray paint it green and be into for $89.

My question is this, the MFT/3-Kapex, is it really worth it?  What else does it do besides hold the saw?  I would rather put that money toward a of1010.

Please don't hurt me too bad.
Thanks,
Jim

With the lack of responces I am going to assume everyone thinks I should give it a try.  Worst case, it becomes the framing saw stand.

I have this stand and I love it. I bought additional mounting brackets for it so I can mount my Kapex or 1 of my other 3 chopsaws on it. It is what it is. A low cost and light weight stand that is very easy to set up and carry up 3 flights of stairs if you have to. You can not go wrong for $79.

Buy it!  I've had mine for two years now and it still works great.  Cant go wrong for the price.  That being said, I don't own a Kapex and would feel a little awkward putting a 1300.00 saw on a 79.00 stand!  [tongue]  But I'd do it anyway.

I also like the stand over the dewalt because it has a smaller footprint when folded up.  Fits nicely in my truck.

I, too, have this saw stand due to low price and my only concern is the motion of a sliding saw tends to shift weight back and forth.  This usually works the tension lock brackets loose and makes the saw unstable.  My remedy for this is to clamp 2 wood blocks on the underside of the round rails to the saw mount to lock it down.  It works great for my small (non-sliding) mitre saw but usually this saw is used for quick cuts and seems counter productive to set up and attach two additional clamps.

I've got that stand and it's great. Very easy to fold up and move around.

Even put the Kapex on it and it works.

The one thing I'd prefer is to be able to remove the rubber feet on the Kapex so it aligns better with the Ryobi brackets. Anyone know a tip on how to get those feet to unscrew?

Well I bought it.  I will put it all together over the next few days.  Hopefully it works well.  Thanks for the tips!
And oh, I do feel funny putting the Kapex on it, but if it works well, that feeling won't last long.
Thanks again, I will update in a few days.
