Dust leaking from the Pro 5 Ltd sander during sanding. As it turned out, the center part of the paper came loose (due to debris?). I solved the problem following a woodworking magazine's tip, using a pet needle comb to clean the affected part:

Why not vac it or hit it with an air hose? I'd worry more about damaging the hooks with the pet brush. Pet brushes sure are handy to have around though.

Suction had not proven effective with my previous sander. Sometimes fleece materials can be quite stubborn, clinging onto the pad. The needles are so tiny that gentle force is enough scraping the debris out.

As per your caution, I'll keep an eye on the pad to see if further uses of the comb may cause any damage to the pad.
